Friends and Neighbors

We had a happy surprise visit from a former missionary, Elder Arudo, now known as Ben. So happy to see him.  Then we had a get-together with some of our wonderful neighbors.

Sister Msane and Ben (formerly Elder Arudo).  Ben was released in September, then went "up country" to help his parents build a house.  He built one for himself too.

We love Elder Arudo.  He was a great missionary -- enthusiastic, hard-working, and with a great sense of humor.  It was so nice to see him again!  He looked different without a white shirt and tie though!

Andrej from Sweden and Jaku from South Africa.  Wonderful neighbors.  We're having a South African "brai" which is basically a barbecue with different kinds of meat.  It was yummy.  Somehow I don't have a picture of Jaku's wife Mariska.  She's like a daughter to me.

Good visit with Gary from England who lives here in Kenya and goes home every couple of weeks.

Lovely view of our compound from Jaku's house.

Smile! LeRon and Gary

Andrej and his wife Anna-Karin are both from Sweden.  They are the ages of my kids so I tend to mother them!

And here is LeRon with Scriven who went to University in Edmonton and totally speaks like an Albertan with all the lingo.  So fun to hear him talk!  Good people!!
