Street Scenes and Other Things

Everything here is done by hand.  Men shovel sand into a truck and then they unload it shovel by shovel.  Hedges are everywhere and they are all trimmed by hand.  So interesting to see how life goes on here.  Lots of interesting street scenes.  Outdoor businesses line streets on both sides.  People lay out their wares -- used and unused.  Just wanted to share some fun pictures with you tonight.  I've spent the last three or so hours going through photos and putting them on my blog.  I think I've done 3 or 4 blog posts tonight so you'll have to check below to see more.  Too tired to make sense.

Everything here is done by hand.  Even trimming miles and miles of hedges.  This man waved at me after I took his picture.  I usually like to ask before I take a picture but he didn't seem to mind.
I can't get over the cattle on the streets.  I'm forever taking pictures because it is so amazing.  Cars go zooming by and the cattle just walk sedately along.

Ngong Road is interesting.  Lots of businesses on both sides of the road.

I love these colorful pots.  So many nurseries here that you wonder how they can all stay in business.

Would you like to buy a peacock?

Strong Kenyan men!

I haven't seen this before -- sod for sale all piled up.  I wonder how it stays alive!
